Things we like

Things we know

  • All situations have a narrative.
  • Actions or images can speak louder than words.
  • Work is nearly always creative but many of us are conditioned not to think so.
  • We are all heroes or villains in our own story
  • Beauty is to be found all around us
  • The seemingly mundane can be extraordinary
  • Poetry, rhythm and music are never very far away
  • Why? What? Who? When? – Always listen to the answer before asking the next question.

Fog, def: a cloud that is in contact with the ground

Proudfoot’s shoot in San Francisco went well. We were out there filming the impressive Jacob Colker and his team “The Extraordinaries”. To find out more about him click on his name above. One thing that struck me about this wonderful Californian city is the way the fog rolls in and out like a sentient being going about its business. From some angles it seems to stop at roads like it’s waiting to cross. As a weather phenomenon it is quite a tough thing to film in. Through the camera lens it tends to make things look flat and ‘milky’ when in reality it is every bit as dramatic as a thunderstorm. Keep tuned for a film that will feature a cloud in contact with the ground as a central character.
